New Zealand Manuka Group has been a pioneer in the New Zealand Manuka industry since its beginnings. Our success is driven by a passion for our shared culture and heritage, the care for our land and its resources, and a commitment to our people. Our Resources business unit is responsible for the development of our Mānuka plantations, which are being built using only high yielding Mānuka varieties.

Due to an expansion of our plantation operations, we are looking for an experienced Cropping or Plantation Manager for our operations in the Eastern Bay of Plenty region.

In this challenging role, you report to the Plantation Development Manager

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the plantation, including setting up a daily/weekly work programmes
  • Manage a diverse team of up to 25 people
  • Maintain and accurately record spray programme
  • Oversee the irrigation programme
  • Prepare plantation for harvesting
  • Manage general plantation husbandry

People and Mānuka are at the core of this role. To make it a success, you have acquired a tertiary qualification in Agriculture or Horticulture.  You possess sound people skills and have managed teams of up to 25 members effectively and efficiently. In addition, you can prove your comprehensive understanding of budget management.
